Are you one of those people who are doing all the things in your business and still feeling like you aren’t making any progress? Showing up on the socials, reading or listening to the books, attending and investing in the webinars and still no wins? Triggered?!

You lack strategy and identity alignment. I’m guilty of this also so you are not alone.

I was reminded of this while listening to one of my recordings from the Traffic Sales and Profit Conference, where the G.O.A.T of story-telling speaker Andy Henriquez shared his powerful journey from corporate burnout to multi six-figure speaker. But it wasn’t just a story about success — it was a roadmap to the Identity Shift System.

Based on these four principles this will help us shift from where we are to who we were created to be.

Awareness. Association. Action. Anchoring.

1. Awareness: The Mirror Moment

Before you can shift your identity, you have to recognize what’s not aligned.

Andy reminded us that 92% of people set New Year’s goals, and by February, 80% have already given up. Why? Because they’re chasing external results without doing the internal rewiring first.

Ask yourself:

  • Are my current habits aligned with the level of success I want?
  • Do I have blind spots in my mindset that I’ve been avoiding?
  • Am I operating as the person I say I want to be?

Awareness is the first act of transformation. And it’s not always comfortable — but it’s always necessary.

2. Association: Who’s In Your Circle?

“You cannot soar with eagles if you’re hanging out with chickens.”

Andy’s life changed the moment he got in proximity to Les Brown, one of the greatest motivational speakers of all time. It didn’t happen by accident. He invested in that proximity. He bet on himself and got in the room.

If you’re serious about shifting your identity, audit your environment (Now this one right here humbled me)

  • Who are the top 5 people you spend time with?
  • Are they stretching you or soothing you?
  • Are you the smartest person in every room?

Your identity expands or contracts based on your associations.

3. Action: Move Before You Feel Ready

One of the biggest breakthroughs Andy shared was how he made a $10,000 deposit into a coaching program — without having the full $30,000 tuition.

This is a nugget right here: “Successful people commit first. Then figure it out.”

So many of us are waiting for the perfect time, perfect finances, or perfect plan. But identity isn’t shifted in comfort;  it’s shaped in courage.

Take the leap.
Make the investment.
Pitch yourself for the opportunity.
Charge what you’re worth.
Post the video.
Launch the program.

Action creates clarity.

4. Anchoring: Stay Rooted in the New You

Identity shift isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a daily anchor.

Andy shared a story about how, when he felt like slipping back into self-doubt, he’d borrow the identity of his wife (shout out Coach Cass)— someone who believed in him fully. That’s anchoring. That’s choosing the elevated version of yourself, even when it feels unfamiliar.

Here are a few ways to anchor your new identity:

  • Create affirmations that match your next-level self.
  • Dress, speak, and show up like the version of you that already has the results.
  • Journal from your future self’s perspective.
  • Surround yourself with people who mirror your potential.

The Shift is Yours to Make

You don’t need to hustle harder. You need to become the person who already has the results you want — and move accordingly.

Take a moment to reflect:

  • Where do I need to grow in awareness?
  • What associations need to shift?
  • What uncomfortable action am I avoiding?
  • How can I anchor myself in my future identity today?
